This mega project will connect 5 states of th south east region of mexico : Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
The Mayan Train would provide an important new transportation infrastructure for the region. It would create new economic opportunities by making it easier for people to travel between Mayan cities and by connecting the region to other parts of Mexico.
The Mayan Train would also boost tourism by making it easier for visitors to explore the Maya world
When completed, the Mayan Train would be the first passenger rail system in Mexico.
Project with significant economic stakes
The Mayan Train is a project on the way to toughen the region’s territorial order and grow its tourism industry.
It will create economic turmoil and beautify connectivity at some stage in the Yucatán peninsula, permitting the inexperienced movement of cargo and passengers.  This will make it possible to cut down on the time and cost of transporting goods, passengers, and tourists within the peninsula.
A total of 1,525 km of ferrata roads can be built, passing through the states of Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo reaching a maximum speed of 160KM/h. It will bring benefits to the region’s development and the fantastic lives of its residents. Â
The project is anticipated to be completed through the method of the cease of 2024.
